Basically seems the same as this probem
which did not seem to have a solution that would help me.
I have 2 web databases
Db A) Has a dialog box which has an embedded view to secure ( default & Anon no access ) Db B.
Db B) Has lists of customers, and I can directly access it via a broweer using the same logon with no problems.
The only way The popup box works is if either
i) the popup box design element is in the same database (B) as the embedded view ( not a desirable solution )
ii) Set -default- to Reader in database B ( totally not acceptable )
When it is not working, it either does not display the view at all, or it asks me to login(inside the popup), but does not accept my login.
If I use an IFRAME to show the view in the dialog, it works fine, but I would have to redesign the popup, and deadlines have already passed.
Also, this works perfectly on another web server, it is only when we moved it to a server that is on 6.5.4 and SSL, and has virtual web site documents that we started to see this problem.
We have now turned on session based authentication for this virtual site and it is still a problem.
