Embedded view + inviewedit + uidocument.refresh = crash!

Hi,

I’m adding this for informational purposes since my testing has been fairly consistent with its results. If the document holding and embedded view is accessed in the views InViewEdit event, using notesuidocument, all calls to refresh, or close and reopen the uidoc cause the notes client to crash. This is just a tad limiting when you want to ensure the current document is correctly displaying all changes made to it, particularly if it has changed the category being passed to the embedded single category view !!

Having the version of Notes you were using would be helpful.

Well, it just happened to me in 7.0.2 on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

The scenario:

Form has an embedded view.

Action Button on the view has code to create a new document to be displayed in the embedded view and a call to ws.CurrentDocument.Refresh.

When I click the button, the system hangs for a couple of seconds, then crashes.

If I remove the ws.CurrentDocument.Refresh, it works fine and if I hit F9, the embedded view does display the newly created document.

Any thoughts?
