Embedded HTML View and hiding 1 row

Hi All

I have a Status Change form for employees.

On the bottom of the form is an embedded single category view on Employee Name that is html formatted.

This view shows previous status changes for the particular employee that the status change is for.

All works well except i want to hide the row in the embedded view that is linking to the document you are actually working on.

Any ideas are welcome?

Check the “Show values in this column as links” (propellor tab of col properties), for one of the columns, checking all of the other columns don’t have this set.

Save the view.

Uncheck the option in that column.

Save the view again.

Bingo!

If that doesn’t work then create an additional column that evaluates to " ", is hidden and has “Show values in this column as links” checked!

Did what you said and no luck.

My view properties are also set to display as html

My embedded view properties also set to display as html

I am not using any display as links checkboxes in my column properties, everything in my view columns calculates to text html.

example: “<td Class="tbldat">”+ Status+“”

In my embedded view on my request form I just want to make it possible to not display the line that relates to the request that you are looking at.

Any more ideas?

cheers

Mike

You won’t have a lot of luck not displaying the current doc if you’re using a table – browsers don’t like having table structures messed with at run-time. You can, though, mark the current row so that the user is aware that it’s the current page. In the tag, add an id attribute and use @Text(@DocumentUniqueID) (or another unique identifier such as a field that uses @Unique without parameters) as the id. Call a bit of JavaScript form the onload to getElementByID() and change the bgcolor for the row (or the fontWeight, or what have you).

Many Thanks

This seems to work as an alternative solution
