Emails missing from Inbox after archiving

We have assigned archive policy on our users. One of our users has the inbox empty after archiving from inbox. The emails are in All Documents but never show in Inbox. Note that the user had mail template Mail8.5 and we degraded him to Mail8.I deleted the inbox folder from the archive mail (with the designer) and replaced the design of the database and it didn’t work.

I also created a copy of the users live mail database without the documents and got that inbox folder and replaced it with the archive one and emails still do not show in inbox of the archive mailbox.

None of those actions (replacing tempaltes, etc) would put emails back into the inbox folder once removed.

If you move an email into the inbox NOW, does it show there? If so, then if you archive is that one removed?

Does the user have View>Show>Selected Only on?

Does the user have View>Show>Unread Only on?
