I have a user who receives email that contains some HTML formatting. The email received shows up as a series of illegible characters (boxes, crosses). User has Notes 6.5.1, 6.5.1 mail template on Windows 2000 OS. Same email can be read with no problem using an R5 client or Domino Web Access (Internet Explorer browser). Are there any notes.ini or User Preferences settings that I need to consider to get the text formatting to appear properly using the Notes 6.5.1 client?

From 6.5.1 client, click on File, Preferences, User Preferences, then mail tab. What does the first field say?

Did anyone ever find out why this is happening? We are having the same problem with certain emails in Lotus 6.5.1 and would like any assistance in figuring it out. Thanks
