I have an issue when sending to a group I’d created. The email is being sent to someone who is not in this group.
Eg. I created a group called “Management” which includes 5 users. When email is sent to this group, it was received by not just these 5 users, but to another user called “Management.support”.
I know it sounds strange but it had happened more than once. So something is really not right. Can anyone help point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this?

Do you have your Recipient Name Lookup set to stop after first match or Exhaustive?
If Exhaustive this likely explains your problem.

Hi Stephen,
thanks for your reply. Exhaustive had always been disabled. so that shouldn’t have been the cause of this.
For the time being, we are juggling with the idea to rename the affected email id. It’s more of a workaround than a solution really.
