I know I’ve seen this mentioned in the forum before, but my search didn’t find that thread…
Anyway, let’s say someone sends me an email in which my internet address is in the cc: field… I then do a reply to all and my internet address is still in the cc: field, which then sends me the email. I don’t want that…
Is there a way to correct that? I know that started happening in 8.5, maybe? Maybe earlier, anyway, I know it didn’t always do that.
This is fixed in 8.5.2 but you must apply the 8.5.2 Mail Template to your application. In addition, you must have your internet address in your location document. Normally, Notes will pull the internet address data from the Domino Directory and put it into your location document. If you do not see your internet address in your location document you can add it manually.
This used to work in previous versions without a hitch…so something changed in newer releases and it really hasn’t been fixed to the point of older releases.
In the current release with current mail template we are unable to reproduce the issue you are reporting when the address matches the address in the location document.
All addresses have to be something we can lookup in either location or person document. If we cannot determine it is “your” internet address then we will not remove it.
We do handle the case where you have an RFC 822 address in the e-mail but an RFC821 address in your location document.
