Email Recipient Limit and Groups

Hi,

I want to introduce a policy into the company so we can limit the amount of recipients standard users can send emails to.

I know you can do this by Server Rules, but then this would be applicable for everyone.

There are a group of 100 users who must be able to exceed this limit, but you can’t seem to exclude the groups from the rules on the Server Document.

I guess you could individually name each person on the server rules - but this seems a bit long winded.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks

You could move your “Allowed” senders to a special heirarchy user name/allowed/company. then set the rule to “sender”/“does not contain”/“Allowed” and “recipient count”/“is greater than”.

OR

You could set up a special “password” to get around the rule. Such as set the rule so that “recipient count”/“is greater than” + “body”/“does not contain”/“secretpassword”. It’s a little hokey, and not foolproof, but it would work.
