Email notification has stopped

Hi everyone

Suddenly my email notification in the system tray has stopped working. I never get any mail alerts anymore. To receive new mail I have to click the refresh arrow in the mail view.

I don´t use a local maildb replica and always use the server mail.

I have tried to uncheck all mail options in user preferences, closed the client and then checked the options again, but it won´t work…

Apparently three users in my company have the same problem, and all three seem to have the same problem. We all use release 6.5.3.

I have also checked if the system tray icon is marked hidden in the tray preferences, but that is not the problem.

The icon is missing, the sound does not work and I have to manually refresh the mail view to get new mail.

Help me all you Obi-Wan´s out there :wink:

I found the solution my self.

In notes.ini there were two rows containing info about NewMailSeqNum. I deleted both of them and left one NewMailSeqNum= empty and restarted notes.

And now it works fine =)
