I want to grant a lotus email user the access to add and remove members from a specific lotus email group. How can I do this?
I specified the user as the owner and the administrator of the group still the user cannot add or remove members. I believe this is because the user doesn’t have access to write to names.nsf. If I grant access to names.nsf the user gets access to modify all the groups.
The right way to handle this is to grant Author access to the -Default- entry of the Address Book’s ACL.This will ensure that only people or groups that are listed in the “Administrators” field of a group document will be able to modify it (apart the Notes admins, of course), since this field is actually an Authors field.
This will NOT allow every user to modify any group document(Read again the documentation on how Authors fields coupled with Author user access works).
