Email going to people not listed in this group....HELP ME UNDERSTAND

Greetings,

I’m hoping someone can help me understand what is going on here. I have a user, who modified a group in the NAB. They removed some users from the group and added others. After making the change, she sent an email out to the group. It seems that people who were removed from the group still got the email. I looked at the group on our email and SMTP server and the names of the people removed weren’t listed in the members section. However, when I did a search for one of the email addresses in the “Search this View” Section, the groups appeared, even though he’s not in the members section.

Are these deleted members in some sort of hidden view that I can look at? Please shed some light on why this is happening if you can.

Thank you for your time.

Subject: Could index or cache

You could test by rebuilding the group view. Press Shift+F9 while in the view. While you’re there I’d go ahead and refresh all views in the directory with Ctrl+Shift+F9.

If that doesn’t do it then try a “dbcache flush” at the server console.

Subject: Thanks for the Reply Mike…Update

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it. Just an update that I searched the view again and now the user is not showing up anywhere. So there must be some sort of lag time from when members are removed until they’re “actually” deleted, but when adding people, they get added right away as the new people that were added to the group at the same time the people were deleted also got the email.

Is this a good assumption?
