Hi,
I host an application for a customer of our and we are running into something a bit funny.
A web user accesses a webpage and has the option to fill out a form and find out more information about the location on the page. An webquery save agent then sends the fields in the for to the email address associated with that page. the email address is for a mailbox on the customers mail server. The customer wants the from address to be one of his email addresses so I put that into the “Run on behalf” field on tha agent security tab. While testing everything works fine when I send it to my personal yahoo account. when I send it to the desired locations email, the mail is not routed and we get a SMTP protocol returned a permanent error.
I can send email from the server directly to any address on his server with no problems, so it is not a dns issue.
I have also tried having the from address be an address on my server and then forward message to my user, should someone decide to reply to one of the automated messages.
Has anyone ever setup an automated email to a server outside of your domain and have the from address be an email address on the same server?
Thanks in advance
Walt
