Email Advance Search question

I need to search mail folders that contains subfolders. I tried but it didnt return any result, If I go to the folder directly, it will return the result. Is there something wrong or is this how it is designed? Also is it possible to search all documents without opening the All document view?

There is nothing wrong - that is how the search works. The search scope is the currently open folder or view. You will see this displayed above the search box: ‘Search in View _______’

Also is it possible to search all documents without opening the All document view?

Not unless you want to create a custom search script.

I suspected that was the case. But as you might guess I am a developer, I may not use “user” features that much and that’s why I thought I better ask.
