Email address is showing a % sign in the address

For some reason, when I’m sending an email, my address has changed to include a % sign in my email address. ie: Karen-Thibault/ESS%EQUIPMENT_SALES_&_SERVICE@essltd.com

Can anyone tell me what’s happened here, and how to fix it ?
