Editing Using authors field

Hi All, Can Anyone explain how can i prevent the editing of documents using the Authors field.The document can be edited only by a few.The document can be created by anyone but only edited by a selected few.

Well Venkatesh, this is really basic Notes/Domino security knowledge.

The Authors field (or any field name with type Authors) has effect only for users with Author access to the database.

So if your db’s ACL contains a group or a number of persons with Author access, they can only edit the documents where they are listed in the Authors field.

You may use group names or role names in the Authors field as well.
