EditGotoField and Body

I have found several threads regarding this topic and none of them has ended with a satisfactory answer : How can I open a new Memo form and leave focus in the Body field? I have this formula (that I have cut and pasted for years so I am pretty sure this worked once)

@Command([Compose];@MailDbName;“Memo”);

@Command([EditGotoField];“EnterSendTo”);

@Command([EditInsertText]; “Test User”);

@Command([EditGotoField];“Subject”);

@Command([EditInsertText];“Test Subject”);

@Command([EditGotoField];“Body”)

doing everything right… except the focus ends in the Subject field. I have tried this with @PostedCommand, too, with the same results. I know I can naviated to Body using EditGotoField because if I add a EditInsertText the text does appear. But the cursor ends up in the Subject field.

I have seen several other posts with nearly identical formulas that get responses like “this works for me” which leads me to believe the code is right and that there is something else that I am missing like a form design change or… something.

Any help would be appreciated. This should be a heck of a lot easier to accomplish.

Is the document in the edit mode?

HELP states the document must be open in the edit mode.

I don’t explicitly set the Edit Mode and I am not sure why I would have to. The formula I posted represents the entirety of the action for the button in question. As I said, I have no problem making changes to any of the fields (Subject, Body, et al). I just can’t finish up with the cursor focus in the Body field.
