Edit Mode/Deleted Attachment Email is being resent

Hello everyone,

perhaps this is a known issue but I couldn’t find the right answer/solution.

So user sends an email with attachment to multiple recipients. Few days later one of these recipients deletes the attachment. The other recipients receive the message again from the original sender with the entry “sent by” and here appears the user who deleted the attachment. Nobody has access to the Email Databases. How can something like that happen?

Please help. Need to provide an plausible answer to my CIO. Thanks

Subject: Mail Rule?

Does the ‘deleter’ have a Mail Rule or Agent running?

How did he delete the attachment? If he edited the email, then deleted the attachment, it would appear to be a new email and he might have hit ‘send’…(it’s the old “ID 10 T” thing), he might also be prompted with “mail has not be sent” and hit the send button thinking he needed to.

It’s worth giving it a test yourself in either case.
