Hi all,
I have a button to show the hidden field and set its value:
‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’
Command( [RefreshHideFormulas] );
@Do(
@PostedCommand( [EditGotoField] ; “ReasonCode” );
@PostedCommand( [EditClear] ) ;
@PostedCommand( [EditInsertText] ; “” )));
‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’
However, Error prompt up
“Cannot Locate Field”.
It seems Notes pipeline all the commands at the same time. Is there any command that can wait for “Command( [RefreshHideFormulas] )” to finish? (i think it is ‘sleep()’ in LS)
Thanks
Sam
Subject: Edit Hidden Field with Formula
Can’t immediately see why this wouldn’t work as designed! In fact gave it a quick test in 6.5.1 and didn’t have any problems.
Is there a specific reason why you can’t use @SetField?
Rufus.

Hi Rufus,
Actually, I used the @Setfield() before:
‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’
@Command( [RefreshHideFormulas] );
@Setfield(“Field”; “Value”);
‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’
It runs without error. However, the field (editable) value is not changed. It seems @setfield only works for unhidden field…
I think @setfield/editInsert will work AFTER “Command( [RefreshHideFormulas] )” finish… So, how can i know that the Refresh command is finished?
Thanks
Sam

Hi Rufus,
Sorry, I made a mistake.
@setfield DOES update hidden field.
Thanks for your reply.
