Eclipse Client and Designer

My first post disappeared into the mist that is IBM incompetence. SO, I will begin again.

In the 12 years I have worked with Lotus Notes/Domino, the Eclipse upgrade is by far the most dysfunctional.

The most irratic Designer and Client that I have worked with (before 4.5).

The notes2.exe HANGS constantly!

Extremely SLOW! Client and Designer.

Simply a pain to work with.

Subject: I can tell you from experience if you work with Maureen she will help you…

  • If you do not work with Maureen she cannot help you. If she will help me, as much as I’ve horribly bashed DDE on this forum, Maureen will help anyone. So work with her. That’s all she’s asking.

Subject: I used to have similar problems with DDE hanging frequently, but…

…things have become MUCH better after I changed two options:- Project > deselect ‘Build automatically’

  • File > Preferences > Domino Designer > LotusScript editor > deselect ‘Enable automatic recompilation of all dependencies’

Since then I’m able to take advantage of DDE’s phantastic (compared to all earlier versions of Notes) LotusScript IDE. I like it!
