I just installed EasySync 4 on a laptop that is running Palm Desktop/Windows 2000. The Palm desktop starts fine but will not launch EasySync when the Address and Calendar are supposed to sync. I have compaired the settings with my laptop (only difference is I have a Palm Tungsten T2 and the user has a Palm m125) and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Easy Sync will not work with Lotus notes 6x.Palm hs gone ahead and created there own mail client called VersaMail. At the moment the VersaMail has issues with Notes, Palm is currently in re-development stages. to get this working.
BUT! i have managed to get this working, but there is alot if playing.
you can either use, VersaMAil or the EasySync.
VersaMAil… make sure yo have v2.51 and above.
you must disable the mail sync in EasySync first.
create the profile and us do the sync. if fails delete the profile and re-do the sync. if fails again, delete the profile and create it again, then wipe clean the palm device (erase everything) and re-do the sync. thsi works for me.
EasySync…
Erase the palm, make sure that VersaMail is not showing on the device, uninstall versa mail, palm desktop and easysync from the pc. remove the palm directory aswell.
install palm desktop, do the sync, at this stage you should not see the VersaMAil in the device.
install the previous version of the mail client called multimail, sync it to the device, now you can see the standard mail icon.
install easysync and configure it to sync.thsi should work, dont know why palm is gone into too much trouble to ‘STUFF’ things up!
Subject: RE: EasySync 4 will not start sync with R6
Thanks for the reply Jimmy. I am guess that you are leaning more towards syncing mail by going threw this process. I am only really interested in contacts and calender which I was able to set up on my laptop without any issues. Any ideas on how to get these two items to sync. Is there somewhere I have to disable the palm address book and calendar?

Jason,
I am having the exact same issues as you. I have a Palm Tungsten W and just upgraded to Notes 6. I am kind of leary about uninstalling Versa Mail to get the solution working. I would rather wait to hear from Palm or Lotus before trying a work around like this. Have you had any success with the prescribed solution?
