Does anyone know of a fairly easy way to search for a signature on design elements of databases?Situation is, we are in the process of finalizing our ND6 upgrade plan. Everything is going fairly smoothly, except that after the user is upgraded, s/he gets a prompt to create a cross certificate for /SOMECOMPANY.
What I want is to be able to find the design elements signed with this company’s ID, so we can re-sign them with a trusted ID. I am using NotesPeek; however, it takes a long time, as I have a lot of databases. Was wondering if anyone knew of a faster, easier way to do this.

Why not just sign all the databases through the Admin client and call it sam? Otherwise, buy TeamStudio products.

Well, I have several reasons for not wanting to sign all the databases. And I don’t want to pay tons of money for software for one task. I know it’s very useful, but not right now for me.Was just trying to see if someone knew of another way to do it. Thank you

Good idea! Except I have no idea which database the design element resides in, hence my post asking for suggestions on how to find it.

Well you are kind of between a rock and a hard place because you do not want to just sign everything with a trusted ID that has rights to do whatever, nor do you want to spend on a tool.
Do you really want to open each database one by one in designer to find them? I sure would not want or like to…

It’ll re-sign all existing signed elements with the ID you’ve specified. So, unless you need to find out exactly what you’re signing (code-inspection?), this is the fastest way…

Subject: Use DDSearch to find the signature…
Download and install my DDSearch tool (free), open the DB you’d like to inspect in the Designer Client and select “Tools, Search” and search for the signature name…the docs and elements containing the signature should come up.Make sure the DB you’re searching is empty or has only few docs, otherwise the search will take a very long time.
