Easy programming question for you, but not for me

We have a staff directory out on the internet that we are modifying. We used to have different columns in a view called Last name Firstname email address etc.

I combined the last and firstname columns to creat Name. I used the Formula: LastName + " " + Firstname for the column. Looks like it works fine. What we would like to do now is to link the Name column with the persons email address.

Could someone tell me how this is done in the simplest form as I’m not a programmer… I’m sure this is probably a very easy task.

Thanks for the help.

“We used to have different columns in a view called Last name Firstname email address etc.”

Is that mean you have a view with that information?

If so see the email address column. Whatever is there, you can copy and concatenate it in your “Name” column. Any problem?

Joseph,

Do you mean something like this

“<a href=mailto:” + EmailAddress + “>” + DisplayName + “”

Thank you for your help. This is what I have put in place and works great.

“a href="mailto:” + InternetAddress + “">” + FirstName + " " + LastName +
“]”
