DXL re-import obstacles, e.g. $font

Hi,

I try to export and reimport notes data documents without loosing any information (important requirement!).

Now I have found the first problem. Here is the situation:

  • Rich-Text field, encrypted

  • Content is formatted

  • Export to dxl, delete original and reimport it

=> $font field is lost including all formatting of the RTF field

well, that of course is not what I wanted. Now my questions:

  1. how to get around that (i.e. save formatting)

  2. are there any other known differences between documents and their reimported counterparts? (what about signing documents or sections etc.)

During research in the forum I found:

  • NoteIds/UNIDs change when creating documents during import

  • design documents have no signature after reimporting them

A list of those differences may become very useful indeed :slight_smile:

Any ideas?
