DWA Printing problem

Dear All,

I found that when using DWA to print out mail, the last word at the end of a line have been “Cut”, I am using DWA 6.5.4 and IE 6.0,

I confirmed that my printer setting is correct also when I copy the context of email AND THEN PRINT OUT BY ANOThER PROGRAM have no error.

If anyone know how to justify the printing function in DWA, please kindly help

Besr Regards,

Lawrence

Sounds like the last word maybe beyond the right margin on your printer.

Is this only happening for certain e-mails or ALL e-mails?

This can happen if you have a wide graphics or table that expands the width of body.

If it was just certain mail messages I would think it was content in those e-mail messages.

Because it happens all the time, I have to suspect it’s something with your margin settings. Have you tried playing with your File > Page settings and doing a preview to see if you see the same problem?

What you need to figure out is WHY the print out is not wrapping at the printer margin. Normally it’s because there is something “forcing” the content to be wider than a page.

Or is it a browser issue?

All the print icon appears to do is open a new browser window and “effectively do a control-P.” Therefore th problem should occur if you print anything using the browser OR there is something about the “page” that the Browser opens.

Therefore the first thing I would do is try and print a few simple HTML pages. Basic text (nothing with tables, or large images) and see if you have the same problem.

If you do then it means it something about the browser or printer settings and you can rule out lotus notes. Try: Lynx Friendly (A random page I found)

If it happens when you print that page I would first look at your browser page setup and see if you can get it to print the above correctly. Once fixed then try using DWA and see if it works better. If you cannot get the above to print properly using page set-up then I would check your printer driver (get an update) and settings. Maybe you’ve got the paper set wrong Legal vs A4 or vice versa.

If the above works fine but DWA print doesn’t The send yourself a BASIC email with text only. A couple of lines wrapped. Print. If the problem occurs try printing landscape and see if it still happens.

If landscape works, then you might find there is something about the form the DWA print is using that includes a large graphic or something “forcing” the page wider. That should be corrected (I doubt this is the problem unless someone customized your DWA).

See how that goes.
