Does anyone know if its possible to assign and use policies in a second address book which is configured with directory assistance ?
ie : addr-one is primary pab and addr-two is configured as a cascaded address book. In addr-two there are only DWA users. I have created policies and assigned them to the users but they dont seem to take effect.
anyone come across this ?

Not possible in 8.0.2 as policies require either a local names.nsf or DWA mail file.
In 8.5.1 you can apply security policies to web users. In order to apply them to web users in a secondary address book create a policy in the primary address book and then create dummy policy with the same name in the secondary. Assign this to the users and the primary policy settings apply.
