All mail files on our Windows 2003 server running 7.0.2 FP1 accessed via DWA gets a “You are not authorized to perform that operation” when trying to change the preferences. I cannot seem to find the problem. All users including the Administrators get this error.
I do not have the problem on a Linux box running 7.0.2
I got a call from a Lotus Notes Administrator whose users reported the same error when saving changes to their DWA preferences although the changes stick. The problem started after the domino server was upgraded to to 7.0.2 but the mail files are using the iNotes654 template. Deleting the iNotes profile resolved the problem. Below is a copy of the code one of my co-workers wrote:
Sub Click(Source As Button)
Dim session As New NotesSession
Dim db As NotesDatabase
Dim profile As NotesDocument
Set db=session.CurrentDatabase
Set profile=db.GetProfileDocument("inotesprofile")
Call profile.Remove(True)
Messagebox "iNotes Profile cleanup complete!"
I have users using the iNotes654 template on a 7.0.2 FP2 AIX box.
Did you ever find out what the underlying problem is? Removing the profile works for me but I’d like a better understanding of what is going on. Did Lotus give you this fix?
