DWA & DOLS error

I opened a mailfile using DWA, and I am now trying to go offline.

I click on the “Go Offline” button, and select “Install Subscription”. Omino Sync Manager launches and starts installing the subscription.

However, as soon as the synchronization status arrives at 5%, I get the following error:

The application for this subscription did not finish initializing. You will need to reissue synchronization before going offline.

Trying to reinstall the subscription does not solve the problem…

Any idea why I am geting this error, and how it can be solved!?

Thanks!

Subject: DWA & DOLS error…

I’m troubleshooting the same issue with DWA & DOLS on 7.0.2. If you create a new “test” mail database you’ll be able to successfully take it offline.

The issue only exists with mail files that have been migrated over time to newer versions.

I’ve tried the following so far:

1 - Runnuing the following database utilities on the mailfiles:

load fixup -F mail\username.nsf

load compact -c -i -d -K mail\username.nsf

2 - Double replace design

A) Move inbox contents into a temp folder.

B) Replace design with discussion db template, then replace design again with DWA7 template.

C) Reinstall synch manager, reboot PC

D) Access mailfile in DWA, take offline to reinstall synch manager. See if the error persists.

No Luck Yet!

The subform “Dols Configuration Settings” use special Fields in “Do Not Modifiy These Fields” section. These fields are modified type.

If during your migration one of these value (User mail file, database name, server name, Replica ID …) change, the profile doc will not take these modification and the go offline failed.

Solution : Delete or change the field value in old profile doc

Good luck

Just trying to make my way through your response. I’ve located the “Do not modify these fields” section of the DOLS Configuration Settings subform. I’ve compared each of the 27 field values to those of a newly created mail database that can successfully be taken offline. I don’t see any differences between the field values of a mail database that can be taken offline and one that can’t be taken offline. Any recommendations on how to proceed?

Thanks!

It’s value on Off Line profil doc.To access, use actions/Modify OffLine Configuration (sorry i’ve french client).

Look at CanonicalServerName, MainNSF and ReplicaID Fields value.
