I would the user to have access to other contacts then in his maildatabase. Can I point the DWA to other addressbooks?
Can I add another “view” to DWA to access addressbooks?
Does anybody have suggestions or can point me to documentation or websites, which might be helpful?
(I already tried the redbook about DWA-customization)

Subject: Use Directory assistance (I think…)
I’m not 100% sure, but if I remember well, if you create a directory assistance with the NAB you want to access from DWA and the link this Directory assistance to your DWA server, the user will see this NAB in the DWA UI when you use the address helper.

Yes you are right, concerning addressbooks in adress helper, but it is not about the address-helper.

In DWA (full) there is a “page” which shows the personal contacts which are synchronized with the maildatabase. I want either this page to show another address-database (CRM) or to create an additional page showing the CRM. So we are definitely talking about customizing DWA, aren’t we?
Does anybody now how or can show me some ressource, where I can learn it?

What I’m talking about is this. You are in DWA, you create a new mail, you click on the “To” button and there you can select address by default in your personal NAB. In the same selection box, you have a dropdown list “Search in” and there you can select other address books.
Is it this you’re talking about ?
If not, than I didn’t get your point and forget my posts… 
If yes, if you create one Directory assistance DB and define the Directory Assistance in the server document you’re using as webmail server, each entry of the directory assistance will appear in the dropdown list I specified before !
If the other NAB is a real NAB, everything will work. If the NAB you want to add is a custom DB, you’ll have to have add some views to be able to search into this database.

I am not talking about about the adress-choice dialog. Directory assistance is enabled and working fine.
In DWA you have several pages/tabs/views - how ever you might call it - one of which gives you full access to your contacts (and those in NAB). I want this to show other contacts or to create a new page/tab/view which shows other contacts.

From what I see so far, it seems to me that customization of object pages is - if even possible - very complicated stuff. That will be fun
