What solutions are available if user workstations are locked down and do not have enough rights/permissions to download the DWA Active X applet.
Does anyone have a workaround to get this active x control downloaded.
Power User rights are needed to install the active x control.
Has anyone been able to use another solution to manually get this installed on the users workstation ?
We are upgrading from version 6.5.5 to 7.0.2fp1.

Other than an Administrator or Power User access, you can look at changing the ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins:
Automatic prompting for ActiveX Controls - Disable
Download signed ActiveX Controls - Enable
However, this is a security risk as well…
We haven’t found a way to automatically push it and install to the users.
Any other ideas?

We are reguistering the dll from the cab file on the domno server. This has been tested and it works. It does not appear in downloaded program files. But registering the dll works fine. We will create an exe file that will push out to our active directory users and auto register the dll for dwa or inotes.
