We are experincing a problem with the ND6.0.2 CF1 Administration client.
In R5 we were able to create a user and if we chose a duplicate shortname it came up with a warning message - asking us to change it.
In ND6 we do not get the warning message. It creates the user and gives them the duplicate shortname. This plays havoc with out internet mail as we use shortnames as one of the internet addresses that can be mailed to.
Has anyone else come across this problem and if so, do they have a solution?
I don’t see this option anywhere. Are you an administrator? I am not an admin. However, I have copy the Address book to my machine (Local) and looked at it, but it’s not in there or perhaps I am in a wrong section.
I am looking into a way to implement this feature for the admins, in case if they accidently enter names twice, and also another one for them to sort out the names in the group.
Yes I am an administrator, and you have to make those changes in the Administration client. Anyone who needs to create a user should really be using the administration client anyway.
