Duplicate mails within internal

Hi All,

One my user getting duplicate mails randmly, Checked person doc,location settings but no luck, can you please suggest what should be the issue.

Your best tool in troubleshooting this is going to be Message Tracking, as it will tell you if you received multiple copies, or if only one copy was sent to your user and somehow it manifested in her mailfile as multiple.

The only things I have seen caused this in the past:

  1. Sender’s mail server was on a flaky connection and didn’t realize the message was sent completely the 1st (2nd, 3rd) time. If the messages are coming from outside your organization, this might be the issue. you can check your server log, messaging entries, to confirm (or message tracking). If you are receiving it from outside multiple times, there is nothing you can do about it but inform the sender (or better yet, the sender’s mail admin).

  2. Older versions of Domino (R4&5), corrupt mail.box. Solution was to take server down, rename mail.box, and let server recreate it. I can’t recall having to ever do that in R6 and up.
