Hi,
One of our Domino servers has been recently upgrade to version 8.5.3. We have done this on another 10 servers in our infrastructure without problem.
After the upgrade users have noticed that response times on replication or opening databases has been slower especially on mail. After doing some digging I’ve found that there’s now a duplicate \mail folder in the file structure.

The mail directory with the padlock has now just appeared.
Anyone know why this has happened?
Thanks
Chris
Subject: direcory ACL
I’ve seen this before when using a directory ACL on the folder. I see a lock on the top mail folder indicating it uses a directory ACL. In my case there were not really 2 mail folders, it was a phantom. Look at the file system structure at the O/S level, do you see 2 mail folders there? Probably not. Curious why you have a directory ACL on the mail folder.
Subject: Your right…
There is no physical duplicate at OS level but is in the Domino Admin directory tree.
Do you know how I would go about removing this duplicate from Domino Admin? When going into ACL for the directory in Domino admin it allows me to change the ACL for the 170 mail files within the mail directory but nothing to do with the actual \mail directory itself.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
