when selecting an address book from the ‘Select Addresses’ dialog box under the ‘Chose address book’ drop down list my Gen. Manager reports seeing duplicate address books of many or all our corporate address books. What seems to be causing this? Where can I get good documentation for Notes idiosyncrasies?

Subject: Duplicate address books
Most common reason is the workstation has local replicas of the address books declared in the User Preferences / Mail / Local Address Books field (also controlled by the Notes.ini entry of Names=). This is normal behaviour and has been there through previous versions as well. As long as the local replicas are kept up to date, it doesn’t matter which one is used to address the mail.
