Dual-monitor - Designer forgets which screen to use

I’m using a dual-monitor setup with a Lenovo T61p laptop.

In previous Notes versions (up to and including 8.0.2), Designer remembers which screen I put it on. I can move Designer to the second screen, close and reopen it, and it opens on the second screen.

Designer 8.5 beta 2 forgets which screen it was on, and always opens on the first screen.

Will this be fixed for the gold release?

Subject: I am not able to reproduce…

I’m running a T60p and when at my desk always run in a two monitor format…designer always re-launces to the same position it was when it was shutdown?

Anyone else seeing this?

Subject: Dual Monitor issue on 8.5.1 also

I have a similar issue with Dual Monitors in 8.5.1. The new windows do not open (when set to open new documents in a seperate window) on the same screen that the Notes client is on. Is there a way to fix this?

Subject: Done more testing - problem related to UltraMon

The problem seems caused by a combination of Eclipse and UltraMon.

UltraMon adds a button to every window’s title-bar which provides a quick “move to other monitor” function.

If I use this button to move Designer, it forgets the move after it’s restarted. But if I restore (un-maximise) Designer, then drag it to the other screen, then maximise, it remembers the move.

Further to this, the Notes client has the same problem in both v8.0.2 and v8.5, while Designer only has the problem in v8.5, so it might be an issue in all Eclipse-based apps.

At least it’s somewhat less annoying than I first thought, as I now have a workaround.
