The ‘Date’ & ‘Time’ fields are correct in the form. However when attempting to display the date/time in a view (so that the forms can be sorted in date/time order) the time is an hour less using this function beginning March 11th, 2007.
@TextToTime(@Text(Date) +" " +@Text(Time))
Is anyone else having issues with this function? If so, how did you get around it? Thanks in advance for your help!
Are you talking about “Form” or “Documents” created with the so called “form” ?Whatever data is saved in the document will be displayed in the view.
I hope you are not making any calculations in the view based on current day’s date and time. What problem you are assuming from March 11th, 2007. Can you elaborate?
Subject: Similar problem: View displays 3/17/2007 (23:00) but date is 3/18/2007 12:00 AM
Ann,
I think we are having a very similar problem.
I created a document via LotusScript agent. I populated a date field (PayCycleEndDate) with “03/18/2007”. When that document’s field is displayed in a view column using, @Text(PayCycleEndDate;“D0S0”), it displays as 3/17/2007.
I may have overlooked it except for I noticed that the Search function wasn’t returning any hits when I KNEW there were documents with PayCycleEndDate = 03/18/2007. The search DID return hits when I searched for 03/17/2007!
Very bizarre. I assume it is DST related, but I do not know yet what to do about it. We’re planning to tackle it Monnday AM.
Addendum: If I display the date in a view column without @Text( ;“D0S0”), it displayes the correct date (and time, which I do not want displayed). That’s an interesting clue, but it doesn’t not help with my initial problem: Search not working.

I have exactly the same problem with a view display using @Text on a datetime field – it displays an hour earlier, starting for entries after 3/11/07. If I show the field without the @Text, it displays the correct time. I tried building the display from @Hour and @Minute, but the same adjustment happended. (The Calendar and Scheduling went quite smoothly, by the way.)
Details:
I have a form with a Date/Time field that includes both date and time. When I enter “3/14/07 09:30 AM” into that field and save, it shows 09:30 AM. When I display that time in a view column, using @Text(fieldname; “T1S1”), it shows 08:30 AM.
This is because daylight savings time happens on the 11th i believe. and yes they know about it and i believe you can get a patch for this fix. Not sure where, our admins do this for us.
but the date issue is for dst
this also happens with scheduled meetings after the 11th they are a day off
If you put your formula @TextToTime(@Text(Date) +" " +@Text(Time)) within a computed field on the form what is displayed?I think the problem may be that when Date and Times are in separate fields they are not effected by DayLight Saving Time. Once combined the DST laws take effect.
If you just need the view to be sorted, why not use some hidden columns for the date and time and then display a text formula.
