Anyone know if the DST fixes/patches will be included in the next release of Domino? I’m on 6.4.5 but was going to 7.02 shortly…just wondering if I should wait a bit.

If you’re settings are configured to use O.S. for the date and time (and DST), then you can update as long as you’ve applied the patch to your O.S.

ND7.0.2 FP1

Thanks Tommy, that was quick!
My nightmare is IBM will sell Domino to MS one fine day and such things will get very costly.
I’ll go download the FP now.

This has been coming since 2005!! Lotus should have fixed DST in 7.0.2 or 7.0.1 releases without releasing a Fixpack that was sorely buggy! All vendors should have patched their systems before 2-3 months prior to d-day…

Hi Chris,
Yes, since 2005, but look at this:
…additional architecture in its current Windows operating systems which make use of dynamic DST rules
Daylight Saving Time (DST) 2007: Date/Time entries for previous years are adjusted by change to new DST rules
Solution Microsoft Windows operating systems and Lotus Notes/Domino® were originally designed to make use of a single Daylight Saving Time rule per time zone; their designs did not include year specific DST rules.
This design implementation means that any change to the operating system’s DST rules, or DST rules for Notes/Domino, or DWA Forms definitions, will result in the rule being applied to previous years as well as 2007 (and forward).
Microsoft has introduced additional architecture in its current Windows operating systems which make use of dynamic DST rules; this allows for different DST rules for different years. This new architecture is not directly compatible with applications, such as Notes/Domino, which were designed based on the previous Windows operating system architecture. An enhancement request to have Notes/Domino make use of the new Windows dynamic DST rule architecture has been submitted to IBM Quality Engineering.
