I’ve read all the documentation and read all the threads here regarding the DST changes and I’m still confused. I have a user base with WinXP, Win2000 and even a few Win98 PCs. All the Notes users have calendars and many use the resource reservation database.
I understand that if I update my OS with the latest patches certain calendar entries that fall into a certain time frame (and I understand which ones those are) will display the wrong time. So, say I run the Lotus-supplied agents to fix all those calendar entries. I’m all good now, right? But what happens to the people who have not yet applied the latest patch? Will the entry now show the wrong time for them? (Until they apply the patch?) It’s very unlikely that everyone will get the patch at the same time (and in the case of Win2000 and Win98, they may not get it at all).
I’m so confused! Help!

In your scenario, the people who have had the agents run, but have not applied the patch yet will indeed show the meetings ‘off’ by an hour until you patch their OS.

What about in the Resource Reservations database? If I run the agent on those documents, won’t it affect all the documents for every user? There are meetings set up that include people on various OS’s with different degrees of patching, etc.

Hi,
You cannot process every documents at the same time. So you may have problems.
Important known limitation: When a user’s mail file is processed by the agent, it will also generate a reschedule notification to any rooms or resources which have been reserved through the C&S workflow. In the current implementation it is possible for a conflict to occur as the agent is processing C&S entries. For example, User A reserves a room at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM in separate meetings. User B reserves a room at 2:00 PM. After the operating system patch is applied User A’s meetings will appear at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and User B’s meeting will appear at 3:00 PM. If User B’s meeting is processed first by the agent it will reschedule the room reservation back to the correct time of 2:00 PM, but since this slot is already occupied by User A’s meeting it will be rejected by R&R autoprocessing.
