DSKTOOL and filename path change

I have been testing with the IBM DSKTOOL.exe utility. The instructions state that it is possible to change the servername and filename but I am unable to get this process to work. If I choose to rename from Old Server/Server Org to New Server/Server Org then this action works as expected. Also deleting of an old servername works as expected. What I want to happen is the new servername and new path are added to the workspace and the old servername removed. The Readme file states if I put the following it should work:

Script file reads:

Rename OldServer/ServerOrg!!Filename, NewServer/ServerOrg!!Filename

For Example I want the database icon to change from:

Server 1 Test\Acceptance\File1.nsf to

Server 2 Live\Production\File1.nsf

So my script reads:

Rename Server1/Servers/Test/AU!!Test\Acceptance\File1.nsf,

Server 2/Servers/Live/AU!!Live\Production\File1.nsf.

It ignores the script when run and makes no changes. If I remove the file and filename path it works fine.

I have tried as many variations on the above script I can think of.

Does anybody have any ideas of what I may need to add to make the actual filename path work properly???

Thanks

try:Rename CN=Server1/OU=Servers/O=Test/C=AU!!Test\Acceptance\File1.nsf, CN=Server 2/OU=Servers/O=Live/C=AU!!Live\Production\File1.nsf

good luck

Subject: DSKTOOL and filename path change - it works !!

I have just discovered the dsktool.exe tool, and it is the free answer of many prayers. Not that it is perfect, but it helps a lot.I had the same issue of trying to migrate only some databases from one server to another, and could not get it to work according to the documentation.

It was only when I found this link, and used the mentioned syntax, that I succeeded.

So this is a confirmation of that it indeed works with this syntax.

Thanks Marius
