When I have multiple tabs open I have to double click the tab in order to jump to the application. I also have to double click the bookmarks along the left side to open those apps. I had to do the same thing under previous versions of 8 as well. I saw a posting a while back that mentioned this but haven’t seen it since. Any advise would be great.
Subject: Acouple of thoughts…
Are you using Notes 8.51 gold or CD8? Also, make sure your bookmarks.nsf is using the latest template. I have seen this issue happen when using an older template sometimes. If this still does not help when you run into this issue again please run ISA (IBM Support Assistant) which will capture your logs so we can investigate this further. Also, are you leaving Notes up and running for several days? We have seen some issues with Tabs not working until you click on them twice but not with bookmarks. If either one does happen something should appear in your logs.
Directions to run ISA:
-
While in Notes 8.51 select Help, Support, IBM Assistant, then select the Collect data tab.
-
Expand Lotus Notes 8.5 and then highlight Notes General Problem Data Collection, press the Add button.
-
Select the Collect All button.
-
Enter a reason for the data collection and press OK (any text is fine).
-
Select do not send report to IBM and press OK
-
Select OK when you are asked to collect .metadata. Once this process has completed the collected results will point to a zip file at the bottom of the dialog. Attach this zip file to your document.

Subject: Tab issue
I’m running the download from Monday 12 Oct. Right now seems to be working as I “reupgraded” my mail template this morning. I’ll leave some tabs open for a while and see how it goes. Will inform.
Subject: Tab problem back…
Left the tabs open for a few hours and had to revert back to double clicking the tab to move from one application to the other.
Subject: Any Solution?
I had someone using 8.51 report this today, and I suggested they reboot and it resolved it. Maybe it’s a mouse driver conflict? Anyone find a firm resolution to this?

Subject: maybe the solution
I was installing some software and my computer went banana’s, so I had to deinstall the software packages I had installed (not any IBM software), after that I even had to place my computer in the Workgroup and after that back in the domain. After the restart, I opened Lotus and I didn’t have to doubleclick anymore…
Strange but true…
maybe is this also a solution for you?
