DOS Command to Replicate?

Is there a way to execute Replication from a command at the DOS Level?

We want to start Replication with a Server somehow from the Windows 2000 Operating System of a Computer with a Lotus Notes R6 Client.

Subject: You could probably copy the “nreplica.exe” server task from the server to the client machine.

You could then force the replication of any or all databases.

Subject: Application Error: Memory could not be “read”.

Thank you for your idea on copying the “nreplica.exe” to the Client Machine.

We copied it to the C:\Notes Directory, executed it and answered a Prompt to type in our Password. We then received the following Error Message:

"Application Error: Memory could not be “read”.

Do you have any idea what would cause this Error?

Do we have the File in the correct Path on the Client Machine?

Thank you very much.

Subject: Error Resolved: nreplica.exe Starts, Then Hangs

I resolved the “Memory could not be read” Error.

Now “nreplica.exe” executes, asks for a Password, responds that it has started, and then just stays.

Does this command need some parameters in order to work?

Subject: Yes, you must supply a server name i.e.

nreplica YourServer/YourOrg YourDatabase.nsfor

nreplica YourServer/YourOrg YourSubdir

or

nreplica YourServer/YourOrg

for all databases and templates.

Subject: Thank You: Auto Password Input?

You’ve been most kind to help me. Thank you very much. I’m most grateful. Please accept my most sincere appreciation.

May I please ask you: do you happen to know of a way to automatically input the Password when prompted during the “nreplica” Command?

We’re currently experimenting with a DOS “BAT” File to accomplish automatic password input.

Thank you again. I hope you have a very nice day.

Subject: That I have never tried. I do not think you can do it.
