With the new feature to store Notes databases is DB2 it is possible to define DB2 Access View. you can access this views with SQL in DB2 to modify (insert, update, delete) data. But while using this feature the system does not forward the changes to the Notes Data (BLOB). But why? Domino and Lotus Help mean that it is possible to make changes in DB2…
Subject: I think you are saying that modifications to a DAV do not update in Domino?
That is not so. I have created a DAV and have used the DB2 client software to add records which were updated in the Notes database (which of course, was stored in DB2.)

Subject: Insert,Update, Delete on DAV…
OK, I think you will not understand, what I would to do. In my testing environement I create a database in Domino. In this DB I create a Form with some Fields (name, first name…). All these fields I add to a DAV and set as default Form to use for DB2 inserts the Form I have created first.Additionaly, I create a normal Domino View to see the created documents that should be stored in the BLOB in DB2. Now I insert some data into the Form. I see all inserted data in the Domino View and also in the DAV in DB2. It work fine! After that, I go to DB2 command line and alter some data in the DAV. But now I did not see the changes in Domino view.
Can anybody help me? Thanks a lot for all your help!!!

Marcus
