Domino Web Logon

Hello All

Happy 1st December !!!

I need a non-notes user to logon to a web site ( on a notes web server ) i.e.

Name = Bob

Pass = Password

Now, when they logon, i need it to bring up a web page depending on whom logs on, so if i log on, it will bring my web page up with my company logo and relevant documents.

Is there an address book or built in function for logging onto notes using the web for users not in the NAB… Or would i have to register a new user ?

Or do i need to add them to the address book ? Like a normal notes user ?

One More Question What is the main page called that opens when you type in the server ip or server name ?

Can you change this to a logon screen ?

Is there any IBM documents / RedBooks on all of this ?

I am pretty new to the web side of things in Domino… I am only used to client… Cheers Guys

Beej,

You will have to have an entry in your Directory in order for someone to authenticate.

You can have your default page that comes after authentication be anything you want, and you can specify this in your server config document. That page could be a page that checks their name and then redirects them to whatever location you desire.

Additionally, you can mess with the logon screen itself.

I’m sure there are redbooks on all of this, and articles in the DevNetwork on this site.

good luck,

raphael
