Domino Web Calendar Formatting

Has anyone got any tips for making the Domino calendar look better? We are developing an application for a client that requires the Domino calendar to be presented in a frame.

The client hates the default look and feel of the calendar and wants to know what else can be done to improve its look and feel.

Has anyone done any cool web formatting of the calendar they can offer tips on.

Amongst the questions asked:

  1. Can you supress the time slots displayed when the calendar opens on a 1 or 2 day view (e.g. 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30 etc.)

  2. Has anyone seen any add-ins that can display public holidays etc.?

  3. Is it possible to modify the colors and fonts displyed within the web rendering of the calendar?

Has anyone incorporated an external calendar program or applet (Java, ASP)to replace the Domino calendar functions - if so do you have an recommendations, what were the challenges you faced.

All advice/input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

You probably want to talk to Stan Rogers on this. I believe he has done some work with the calendar that may help you.

If you want to wait about a month, I should have a web calendar version for my Domino Web Tools project on OpenNTF. I can currently handle all other types of views, just not the calendar ones yet.

My current tool needs to be expanded somewhat to include weekly, 2-day and daily displays. The monthly calendar lives here:

Adapting the same principles for other displays is not particularly difficult, just a little bit more time-consuming than I’ve had room for lately. Feel free to contact me directly (address is on my profile) if you want to run with this.
