Hi, I am looking for the best web authentication method provided by Domino Servers. I am aware of LDAP and the EDC (extended directory catalog) method. EDC seems native to Domino. LDAP seems to be more generic that’s used by most web servers. I am confused as to which security model to use. Anybody have any good suggestions to lead me??? Thanks. I believed that if EDC is used, then LDAP is not really needed, right? At the moment I have domino directory with a public address book and secondary address book aggregate by the directory catalog which is EDC. But the problem is when notes clients tries to search for internet addresses in the primary address book, it keeps on getting the entries in the secondary address book and also when web users authenticate they can use password in both the primary and secondary address book. What I would like is the secondary address book only authenticate web users. And public address book to resolve internet address for emails. Should I go towards LDAP??? I am a newbie to LDAP…
