Domino Web Access

Hi all,

Domino Web Access is enabled in my mail server and when a user try to login to his mail from outside, he has to provide the full path including the mail file name as follows.

http://MailServerIP:9191/mail/MailFileName.nsf

I need to change this to a default URL like, http://MailServerIP, as users find it difficult to provide the full path include ports and mail file names.

Also though I’m having a new version of Domino Server still I’m getting the old web interface for login page which consist of Server Login as the heading and User Name and Password test boxes with the plain background.

Can anyone support me to do the necessary configurations to get the new login Interface for Domino Web Access?

My Domino Server version - Release 8.0.1 for Windows/32

Many Thanks.

Aruna

As Eric says you will need to use the webredirector.

Also the reason you are seeing a basic login form is that you have an old domcfg.nsf or ni domcfg.nsf configured.

Search the administratot help for domcfg.nsf and all will become clear.

Subject: Use the Redirector

You can eliminate the problem of user’s remembering the full path to their mail file by using the Domino Web Access Redirector. That way, the users will only have to type in the name of the server and they will be automatically redirected to their mail file. See this article in the Domino Administrator Help for information on how to set up the Redirector.

I’m not sure what you mean about the old web interface for login. I don’t know if the login page has changed that much between 7.0.x and 8.0.x. But maybe after you’ve set up the Redirector, that will be what you want.
