Domino Web Access 7 Control over IIS Not Prompting

Hi all,

I’ve been working on this problem for a few days and cant seem to get it to work.

I currently have this setup for webmail: we have a Domino Server with the http stack set to run on port 1080, this is because I am using IIS on the frontend (on port 80).

When you connect via http://servername it prompts for a username and password, this works fine and you are then loaded into your webmail, the only problem is the error message “The installation of Domino Web Access 7 Control has been blocked or declined by the user. Do you want to use this on subsequent Domino Web Access Pages?”

Now normally this problem is in relation to a misplaced dwa7w.cab, but this is not the case because if I access my mail DB via http://servername:1080/mail/db.nsf I am prompted for my password, then prompted with:

Do you want to install this software?

Name: Domino Web Access Control 7 (international)

Publisher: International Business Machines Corporation

After selecting yes and installing the Domino Web Access Control the errors from the port 80 page go away.

How can I avoid having to make users go via the 1080 page to get the installation prompt and make it appear via the IIS port 80 based page?

Thanks in Advance!

Hi , I had the same problem and could solve it by adding this line into the UriGroup section of the plugin-cfg.xml file:

This makes IIS recognize the request and pass it on to Domino.
