Domino Smarthost question

Hi to all.I have a Domino Server 6.5.1. running on a win2k box.

I need to send email from some application using a external Sendmail Mail server.

I’ve succesfully configured the domino server for use a SENDMAIL external server as a Smarthost.

I currently have two problems and i forgot how to fix that :

  1. if i put a internet address to the TO: field on the notes client(ex:doe@home.com) and if i try to send this email i can see on the domino server a 550 error received from the Sendmail host.

Domino send this email not to doe@home.com but to firstname_lastname/domain@home.com

  1. if i create a people record on the NAB with this email address and if i pickup the name from the nab the email arrives but with this address shown : doe%NotesDomain@home.com

Can someone kindly help me?

Or where i can find a complete quickpath for this kind of configuration?

Hi Alberto,

I don’t really understand your first point, but for the second, you only need to open the global domain document, conversion tab and modify the fields you need, for example put a “none” in the “Domino Domain Included”, you can check “Local Part Formed from” too

Change take effect only after a reboot
