Domino service crashing every 75min

Four days ago, the Domino service started crashing about every 75 minutes. I say “about”, because sometimes it is less than 75 min. It just crashes, there are no orderly shut down entries indicated in the logs as if the service had been stopped by a script or manually. No error messages appear at the Windows desktop or in the Windows logs. The Windows log simply says the service stopped. There have been no changes on the system, and it’s been running without issue since 6.5 was installed over a year ago. In fact, I’ve never had this problem in the 4 years that we have been running various versions of Domino.

Hardware (specifically RAM) errors, maybe? Is there anything in the NSD file?

This could be a biggie. Anywhere from hardware to a user with proper access running an agent. New apps? memory? net admin playing with reboot scripts?

If a Domino server gets over loaded it won’t right to a log before crashing. I’d set up a perfmon for a while.

I’m pretty sure that we’ll find the cause of these crashes with DNA Network Analysis. www.dna-portal.net

Could be a corrupt database. Some scheduled task (e.g. full text indexer) tries to access Db and poof! Try disabling all tasks
