Hello Forum.
Here is the Error message we are seeing:
Domino server will not start as a service after upgrading Windows from 2003 to 2008 R2, it will start as an application.
May 5, 2015 1:42:07 AM), , com.installshield.wizard.platform.win32.win32service.WindowsServiceControlAction, err, ServiceException: (error code = -120003; message = "The specified service does not exist as an installed service.
(1060)"; severity = 0)
STACK_TRACE: 15
We have checked tech Notes etc and cannot find anything on how to resolve.
Is there a setting on the server that needs to be configured before the upgrade is done?
Thank you.

Subject: Domino server will not start as a service
Thank you for your quick response. We accessed your link and the steps did not work. Is it something on the Windows side that needs access to Domino to complete this? The system prompts us to “run as administrator”
Here is what we are seeing.
C:\Lotus\Domino>sc delete “Lotus Domino Server”
[SC]OpenService FAILED 1060:
The specified service does not exist as an installed service.
We are in the windows\system32 directory and then changing to cd lotus domino.
Subject: Domino key error when server will not start up as a service
We are seeing this error when trying to resolve the upgraded server from 2003 to 2008 R2 to start as a service NOT an application:
W32 install: Program Directory: dominoW32Key ERROR: could not read property value for bean readWOW64because the following error occurred: java.lang.NullPointerException
We found a link from IBM tech notes but when we click on it it has been removed.
any ideas please?
thank you
