I am an developer trying to be an administrator. I’m trying to upgrade a 6.5.5 server to 7.0.2. I went through the install wizards, rebooted, and tried to run domino as a service. Everything worked for about 10 minutes. Then the box became unresponsive. I checked the log.nsf and found that the end times for the misc events documents were not computed.
The box is a windows 2003 service sp1.
Has anyone ran into this issue?

Subject: Domino Server locks up
10 minutes is a short time, but this could still be the reason:
Right-click on the title of the Domino server window and click on properties. Make sure, that on the options tab neither quick edit mode nor insertion mode are checked. OK your changes and if asked, pick that these changes should apply to all windows.
If these boxes are checked, it is possible to inadvertently mark some text in the console window. This will not make a difference, until the marked text is in the last line of the window buffer. If this happens, hitting the enter key would solve the problem.

By the time of istalling 7 version it initially will prompt’s you to fill the windows …it will upgrade automatically without reinstalling it … if you wont specifys the current server name properly or the IP address in Host (last window to installation)… these may the major problems.plase check it once. hope this will help you
